I was inspired by a Hank Williams album cover to create this 'album cover' poster for the film "I Saw the Light". I began with the portrait of Tom Hiddleston using a number of photo references to get the lighting and pose I wanted. It was sketched and painted freehand in Photoshop with my tablet. I placed Tom in the famous 'Nudie' suit, beautiful painted silk tie, and hat with etched band. I took great efforts to recreate the outfit. From here, I added the text. His name and the script type were custom. Lastly, I aged the image with halftones, 'printing errors', scratches, and dirt.
